Due to the rough seas in Jaffna, a Sri Lanka Air Force helicopter was deployed yesterday (05) to transport ballot boxes from Delft and other islands in Jaffna to be counted.

After the polls, ballot boxes and officials were transported by helicopter to Jaffna Central College, where the votes would be counted.
