Some politicos abandon residences in their home towns

With the eruption of public protests Islandwide government ministers and senior politicians who were former ministers as well as some opposition members have left their residences and gone to temporary residences.

They have temporarily abandoned their homes due to protests by people who have been besieging the houses of Parliamentarians and Ministers in the last few days.

It is reported that the those Ministers who represent Central, North Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and Southern Provinces have already temporarily abandoned their private residences and official residences. Reliable sources reveal that some of them are staying with his children and families in several hotels in the suburbs of Colombo.

They also now refrain from using security and back up vehicles in order to precent from possible agiitation while they are on the road the sources further said. .
Public meetings and daily meetings, as well as openings and other ceremonies held by MPs and ministers as well as members of the Opposition, have now been suspended.
