A shark attacks a surfer in South Australia !

A 46-year-old local teacher is believed to have been killed in a shark attack off Walkers Rock Beach in South Australia, Australian media reported.

A popular teacher named Simon Baccanello is missing yet but some people who were at the sea at that time have witnessed him being attacked by a shark. One witness a 22-year-old youth has said to the media that apparently the shark attacked him three times and the victim disappeared. However, his surfboard was found with some bite marks on it.

Simon BaccanelloSearch operations were underway and a number of teams and helicopter surveillance have been deployed to find out the missing surfer.

Australia is considered the country that the world’s second-highest number of shark attacks occurrence and in 2020 and 2021 it has been reported 11 shark attacks within Australian waters.

Although the intensive search involved the teams of local patrols, members of the public, water police, PolAir crews, and SES members there is no clue of the missing surfer . Australian media reported that the search resumed at the first light of today (14)  morning.

Simon Baccanello has been working at Elliston Area School since last  January, In s statement, his family members expressed their gratitude to all who are supporting the mission to find their beloved family member reports further said.
