Recover the losses incurred by the pharmaceutical corporation from the suppliers—National Audit Office

 

The State Pharmaceutical Corporation has incurred a loss of 191.86 million rupees during two consecutive years (2020, 2021) due to the supply of damaged and medicinal drugs that had exceeded the prescribed expiry date.

Accordingly, the National Audit Office has said that the supplier should be held responsible for both of these instances and that the costs incurred for the medicines should be recovered from them.

The audit also recommended that steps be taken to determine the causes of these incidents and recover losses and damages from those responsible.
