Public advised to wear two masks as protection from new Covid strains

The Deputy Director of Health Services (Public Health Services) Dr Hemantha Herath has said the Ministry of Health is currently conducting a study on the newly identified coronavirus strain in Sri Lanka. He said after the study health authorities will be able to come to a conclusion on the extent to which the strain has spread in the country.

He said it was best to wear two face masks to protect against the UK strain of Covid 19. Dr Herath said that it would be better if people could already wear two face masks and that this was due to the fact that they could get more protection from Covid 19.
