Janaka Ratnayake, Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission says that there is a possibility of power outages in several parts of the country due to an emergency situation following the break down of two power plants.
The 270 MW Kerawalapitiya West Coast Power Plant and the 130 MW Sojitz Power Plant have been shut down due to technical faults.
