The specific economic centers which distribute daily essential food items islandwide are at high risk of spreading the Covid 19 Virus, The Public Health Inspectors Association warns.

PHIs warning came after the reports of 48 new Covid infected cases have been found during the 295 PCR tests conducted at the Dambulla Economic Center recently on the 23rd, said the President of the Association Upul Rohana.
He called on the health authorities to expedite the implementation of health care programs in the economic centers as these risks have arisen due to the non-compliance of health regulations by those entering and staying at the economic centers.
