“On June 1 my throat started hurting and it got worse towards the evening. The next day I informed this to the Pathana MOH Dr. Ganesh and PHI Sundar Rasavan about this and visited the Dikoya Hospital. At the hospital the doctors checked me. I did not have a fever and I still don’t. They provided me with medicine and I have recovered. But the results of the PCR test conducted on me is pending. I am not in self-quarantine with the my cook and driver till we receive the reports”.

Ganesh Krishantha had visited the residence of late Minister Arumugam Thondaman during his funeral and also visited the parliament, Kotmale, Kotagala, and Norwood while reporting on the funeral. According to him, Dikoya Hospital had suggested that it was best to conduct a PCR test as he was amongst crowds during those days. Accordingly, samples were taken from him on June 2 and the results are likely to be released today (03) evening. He also expressed shock about the reports of him, his cook, and driver contacting Covid 19 when the PRC test results have not even been released yet.
