Interpol has issued a red warrant for the arrest of the rogue FEB officer in Oman!

The CID has taken steps to obtain an Interpol red warrant against the notorious officer attached to the Foreign Employment Bureau, Edirachchilage Kushan, who was suspended on charges of sexually assaulting women staying at the safe house maintained by the Sri Lankan embassy in Oman.

It is reported that the main reason for obtaining this red warrant is that the investigating agencies have doubts about the chances of this person fleeing the country without returning to Sri Lanka.

He had booked flight tickets to arrive in Sri Lanka early last Friday morning, but he never made it since he was admitted to a hospital in Oman on the pretext of chest pain.

In the circumstances, the Human Trafficking, Smuggling, and Maritime Crime Investigation Division, which inquired into the human trafficking of women in Sri Lanka to Oman, has obtained a court order and forwarded it to the International Police Headquarters in Paris by the Criminal Investigation Department.

This “red” notice has been obtained against him in connection with sexual harassment of women.

Investigations have revealed that this man has allegedly committed sexual crimes against Sri Lankan women who sought refuge at the Oman Embassy safe house, and two women have given statements to the effect that the officer has allegedly harassed women.

He served as a third secretary in the Sri Lankan Embassy in Oman and heads the Foreign Employment Bureau in Oman.

Asha Dissanayake, who has been arrested in connection with human trafficking and released on bail, has come forward as a witness against Kushan, and she is ready to reveal details of all the matters relating to human smuggling carried out by Kushan in the country with evidence, according to the information of the Human Trafficking, Smuggling, and Maritime Crime Investigation Division.
