Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Bagle has embarked on a five-day official visit to the North and East. He began his visit yesterday and arrived to Mannar first.

During his visit, he will review information on various development proposals received by the two provinces in the North and East with Indian assistance and meet with government officials and political groups in those provinces.
