General elections soon if the government fails to introduce the 21st amendment!

SLPP response not encouraging

If the government fails to get the 21st amendment approved by Parliament, the Prime Minister and the other parties in Parliament are contemplating dissolving Parliament and holding Parliamentary general elections.

Although the political atmosphere is not conducive to holding elections, the parties concerned have pointed out that there is no alternative if the government goes back on the pledge to fulfil people’s aspirations.
