The University Grants Commission (UGC) says it has requested for the Covid 19 vaccination for university students and lecturers.
Chairman of the University Grants Commission Sampath Amaratunga said that the necessary documents have already been sent to the Director-General of Health Services and other officials.

Among them, Sampath Amaratunga has requested that priority be given to the medical students who are currently admitted to hospitals when receiving the corona vaccine.
At present, there are 4800 medical students attached to hospitals.
