Was the car burnt in Kaduwela used by the Killers of Gampaha Buddhist Monk?

The Police teams are still searching for a clue to identify the killers of Ven Kalapaluwawe Dhammaratahana Thero who was staying in a temple in Malwathu- Hiripitiya, Gampaha yesterday.
The team arrived at the temple self claiming that they were CID officers who entered the temple and shot at the monk.
They arrived and fled in a blue-colored Honda car, CCTV footage has revealed.

later in the evening investigators found the same model of that car was set on fire in the Kaduwela police area.

Police believe the killers set fire to the car at a deserted place near a forest in the Kaduwela and fled.

Burnt car

The police, who started the investigation, found a white car bearing the same number CAO-5345 as the car the killers came from, in a garage in the Eluwila area of Panadura.

Thus, in the current investigations, it is confirmed that the killers, who came for the crime with a fake number plate, eventually destroyed the vehicle they came in and ran away.

Suspicious Honda car

However, it was not confirmed that the same car was burnt in Kaduwela a Senior Police officer told to Lankasara.

Further investigations are being conducted to find the suspects.
