Cabinet has approved to amend the Children and Young Persons Ordinance to accept a person under the age of 18 as a child.
This was revealed at the Cabinet decision briefing held today (17). Previously, those under the age of 14 were accepted as children.

Under the new amendment, young people between the ages of 18 and 22 will be accepted as youths.
Approval has been given to amend the age limit on a proposal made by the Minister of Justice.
