80 employees of a garment factory at Diyagampola of Divulapitiya have been infected with Covid19 virus Divulapitiya Administrative Public Health Inspector S.A.U.T Kulathilake said. Although 175 employees who had close contact with have been placed under quarantine the factory which is Smart Shirts Garments still has in functioning .

The Divulapitiya Medical Officer of Health has identified the infected employees today (05) through PCR tests conducted at the institution.
So far 175 of the employees’ closest associates have been placed under quarantine. The company employs about 337 people. It has not yet been decided to close the company.
