In an almsgiving event held in Pitigala , the Maha Sanga have been offered with 10 liter of petrol can each by a renown business family in the area.
On the occasion of the birth anniversary and eleventh commemoration of the late entrepreneur D.W. Athukorala, this almsgiving was held today at the Athukorala Tea Factory.
This fuel donation is done in the backdrop of where the distribution of fuel through the QR code system is strictly restricted, preventing the collection of fuel for cans.
Currently, 4 liters of petrol are issued per week for a motorcycle, 05 liters for a three-wheeler, 20 liters for a van, 20 liters for a car, 15 liters for a land vehicle, and 50 liters for a lorry.
However, by paying in dollars, industrialists can get required fuel quota they want.
