A British tourist died suddenly yesterday (05) while visiting the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Deceased was a 69-year-old tourist named Benedick Lille .
He has fallen ill at around 10.30 am yesterday while visiting the botanical garden with a woman and admitted to the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital. The British national has arrived in Sri Lanka on 22nd .

The British citizen died while receiving treatment at the hospital and Peradeniya Teaching Hospital Coroner Amal Jayawardena has taken steps to inform the British High Commission about the incident.
Peradeniya Police is conducting investigations regarding the incident.
