Sri Lanka will receive 600,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine, a Chinese-made anti-covid vaccine, on March 31, said Prof. Channa Jayasumana, Minister of State for Pharmaceutical Products, Supplies and Regulation.
The Minister also revealed that the first batch of nearly 20,000 doses of the Russian-made Sputnik-V Kovid vaccine will be available before the Sinhala-Hindu New Year.
Earlier this week, the Cabinet approved the purchase of 7 million doses of the Sputnik-V vaccine.
