Authorities are considering displaying the details of all political party and independent candidates contesting in the upcoming General elections in specific areas. This will include their preferential numbers and photographs.

According to sources given the Covid 19 situation and the difficulties arising to campaign, the Police Division at the Election Commission of Sri Lanka had proposed this move. Police Headquarters is set to put forward this suggestion to the EC in the coming days.
