The gala event was organized by Business Word International Organization (BWIO) and was held at the Grand Oriental Hotel, Colombo. DHS Gem & Jewellery and its Managing Director Deshamanya Professor Dr. Duminda De Silva have received a number of awards at prestigious award ceremonies in the past as well.

“We have always placed great emphasis on building customer confidence by being professional and attention to detail. Most of our customers continue to work with us this is the reason why we have come a long way at a very short period of time. We were exporting gems even during the height of the COVID pandemic and bringing in much needed foreign exchange to the country. The company will keep on strengthening the confidence of our customers, so that we can continue to grow,” said Deshamanya Professor Dr. Duminda De Silva, the Managing Director of DHS Gems and Jewellery who is also a former Sri Lanka long jump champion and an international medal holder. Deshamanya Professor Dr. Duminda De Silva also said that he is extremely proud of the hard work and dedication of his staff who are the pillars of the company’s success. DHS Gems and Jewellery was established in 2006, and the company now exports gems to more than a dozen countries. The aim of the company is to promote Sri Lankan gems, and the country as a whole, at the international arena, and to bring in much needed foreign exchange to the country. The company has two branches, one in Dambulla and the other in Colombo. DHS Gems and Jewellery regularly participates in gem exhibitions around the world to promote Sri Lankan gems. DHS Gem and Jewellery will be participating a Gem Exhibition hold in USA next year.
