The Ministry of Health states that a special program is being implemented to vaccinate dogs against rabies in several areas including Yatalamatta, Galle.
The program has been launched after a 12-year-old schoolboy and a 57-year-old man died of rabies in the Yatalamatta area.

A special team has been sent to the area to provide additional vaccines to canines in the villages Ministry’s Public Health and Veterinary Medicine Cheif Dr. L.K. Mr. D. Kistiri noted.
